- All Implemented Interfaces:
Consumer<EK9Parser.StringLitContext>
final class DoubleQuotedInterpolationOrError
extends Object
implements Consumer<EK9Parser.StringLitContext>
A double-quoted String holding
${ is an error (E07901): a double-quoted String is never
interpolated, so "${count} items" prints those characters rather than the count. Writing it
is almost always a habit from a language whose double quotes DO interpolate (Kotlin, Groovy, Dart,
PHP, a shell) - and it compiled silently, surfacing only as wrong output, often much later.
The error names both backtick spellings - the interpolation and the literal text - from
BacktickString, so either intent is one edit away. Checked on every String literal in the
source, text-construct bodies included, but not on a directive's String: that is test metadata,
never a program value.
