Class MetricSymbolOf

java.lang.Object
org.ek9lang.compiler.phase5.MetricSymbolOf
All Implemented Interfaces:
Function<org.antlr.v4.runtime.tree.ParseTree, ISymbol>

final class MetricSymbolOf extends Object implements Function<org.antlr.v4.runtime.tree.ParseTree, ISymbol>
THE first step of every Acceptable*OrError quality-metric check (with RecordMetric and MetricLimitCheck): the symbol the metric is recorded against - one null policy, an assertion, because a metric scope is pushed on entry for a construct that has a symbol (the node, not the symbol, is never null). A checker that must still pop a tracker for a symbol-less node (cohesion, coupling) does its own getRecordedSymbol so that it can pop first - that is a stack-balance reason, not a second policy. Was MetricLimitCheck.symbolOf (no-statics lane P2, 2026-10-29).
