THE sameness a type INHERITS - from its super chain (stopping before Any) or any of its traits (its own, a super's, a trait's trait) - if any, sealed or not. A type that declares no sameness of its own compares through it, and so may not declare a #? alone (E07184). The sealed one alone is SealedSameness; the walk is defensive against a hierarchy loop (SamenessAbove). Hold one and apply it with the Any type.
